Radiographic testing

Radiographic testing is an imaging procedure of non-destructive testing to represent differences in material.

The density of a test object is mapped to an X-ray film using an X-ray source. After development of the X-ray film, differences in material and defects can be identified. Radiographic testing is applied in all areas of industry and specified by numerous codes and standards (e.g. DIN EN ISO 17636-1:2013 on radiographic testing of welds).

Recommended microfocus X-Ray tubes for radiographic testing

For radiographic testing we recommend the microfocus X-ray tubes of our product line SE as well as rod anode tubes of the product lines RA, RAC, and RAC Superfocus.
