The founders of X-RAY WorX

The founders of X-RAY WorX are Holger Behnsen and Thorsten Fröba. Both have been involved in development, production, sales, and service of microfocus X-ray systems for many years.

Holger Behnsen knows the market of microfocus X-ray systems for more than 20 years. Thorsten Fröba has been working in the development of microfocus X-ray systems from the early 1990s together with Alfred Reinhold, the pioneer of industrial microfocus X-ray systems.

History of X-RAY WorX

X-RAY WorX GmbH was founded in February 2010 by Holger Behnsen and Thorsten Fröba in Garbsen near Hanover. Within a few years, the company has firmly established itself in the global industrial X-ray market and is one of the leading suppliers for high-resolution microfocus X-ray tubes. The number of employees has increased from initially 6 to over 30 today. X-RAY WorX has continuously expanded floor space to maintain flexibility for development, production, and warehouse as well as a modern working environment for their staff.

X-RAY WorX is cooperating with numerous well-known X-ray system manufacturers and system integrators around of the world. Since January 2021, X-RAY WorX GmbH is part of the Swedish Indutrade Group. On 01.04.2024, Holger Behnsen handed over the commercial management to Mr. Sven Fitschen.

X-RAY WorX is based in the city of Garbsen on the outskirts of Hanover. The region of Hanover is the center of microfocus X-ray technology in Germany. In the 1980s, the first microfocus X-ray tube for industrial application was developed close to Garbsen by the company Feinfocus and its founder Alfred Reinhold. X-RAY WorX continues this tradition.
